De- Skunk Receipe!
We were given this receipe by a customer who swears it works. Fortunately, we have not had to try it ourselves but thought we would pass it along to you in case the need presented itself!
- 1 Quart 3% Peroxide
- 1/4 Cup Baking Soda
- 1 Teaspoon Dawn Dish Detergent
Mix in a bucket. It will be
VERY fizzy, so do not mix or store in a
closed container! Thoroughly
wet the dog, working into the coat well.
Keep the solution away from
the eyes, nose and mouth. You can use a
wrung-out sponge to
carefully wipe it onto the face. Follow with
a
thorough
rinse.
The solution chemically
alters the thiols that make up the skunk's
spray and will de-odorize
the dog nicely."
